About Me

My name is Jaiden Malia and I am a Filipino-American creative from the Bay Area whose artistic journey has and continues to unfold across various mediums in visual storytelling; from video art installation to video production to social media and content creation.

I received my BA in Visual Arts Media from the University of California, San Diego and my MA in Interactive Media Arts at New York University. As a creative, my main goal at the end of the day is to not only take projects from start to finish, but always making sure that I truly and effectively communicate the artistic message visually.

For fun, I like to say I’m a girl first, creative second.

My personal work mostly delves into the intricacies of Gen Z pop culture and the exploration on femininity and girlhood. I always aim to challenge and reshape established narratives surrounding race and gender, often times infusing my pieces with a personal voice and perspective while also celebrating themes of modern girlhood and girlhood online.

If there’s one thing I know best, it’s definitely being a girl — whatever that means.
